Blaidd the Half-Wolf is one of the most memorable non-player characters in Elden Ring, serving as a loyal knight to Ranni the Witch. His questline takes players across multiple sprawling regions of the Lands Between and intersects with major storyline events. Tracking his location can be challenging because he frequently shifts positions depending on your story progression and choices.

First Encounter at the Mistwood Ruins

To begin Blaidd's storyline, travel to the Mistwood Ruins located in eastern Limgrave. Upon arriving at night, you will hear a distinct wolf howling from the top of the stone ruins. Return to the Church of Elleh and speak with Merchant Kalé about the sound to receive the Finger Snap gesture.

Head back to the ruins, stand beneath the highest structure, and use the gesture to prompt Blaidd to leap down. Speaking with him reveals that he is hunting a rogue warrior named Bloodhound Knight Darriwil. You can then assist him in defeating Darriwil at the Forlorn Hound Evergaol in southern Limgrave.

Meeting Blaidd in Siofra River

After pledging your service to Ranni at Ranni's Rise, Blaidd moves underground to the Siofra River region. Access this subterranean area via the Siofra River Well lift in Mistwood. Blaidd can be found standing near a cliff edge north of the Hallowhorn Grounds.

He explains that he is looking for a way into Nokron, the Eternal City, but needs additional information. Exhausting his dialogue sends you to consult Preceptor Seluvis and Sorceress Sellen. Sellen reveals that defeating Starscourge Radahn is the key to unlocking the path to Nokron.

Joining the Festival at Redmane Castle

Once you report your findings back to Blaidd, he directs you to Redmane Castle in southeastern Caelid. Here, he participates alongside other warriors in the Radahn Festival event. You can summon Blaidd into the arena during the battle against Starscourge Radahn for valuable combat assistance.

Following Radahn's defeat, speak with Blaidd near the Site of Grace on the battlefield. He expresses excitement about the falling star that crashed into Limgrave, opening the entrance to Nokron. This marks a crucial turning point in both Blaidd's and Ranni's overarching narratives.

Concluding Blaidd's Questline

Later in the questline, Blaidd is mysteriously absent from the star crater because War Counselor Iji locks him inside the Forlorn Hound Evergaol. You can visit the Evergaol to free him, though this step is optional for progressing Ranni's story.

After completing Ranni's full storyline and delivering the Dark Moon Ring, return to the entrance of Ranni's Rise. You will find Blaidd sitting outside, driven mad by his conflicting loyalty to Ranni and the Greater Will. Defeating him in combat awards his powerful Royal Greatsword and iconic armor set.
